The challenge

A regional news site depends on speed and structure. Stories have to go live quickly, readers on phones need pages that read well in Telugu, and every story has to sit in the right section, from state and district news to cinema, sports and business.

Praja Nadu needed a publishing platform built for Telugu from the ground up, and built to be found in search as soon as a story is published.

The solution

DV Soft built a newsroom CMS around a clear category structure: politics, cinema, sports, business, education, jobs, technology and more, plus state sections for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a page for every district. Stories flow to their sections and to the latest-news and live-update pages, and readers can sign up for a newsletter.

Pages are designed mobile-first and set in the Noto Sans Telugu and Mallanna web fonts for clean Telugu typography. For search, every article carries NewsArticle and breadcrumb structured data, URLs are short and readable, and a Google News sitemap lists new stories as they are published.

The outcome

The platform also carries the pages a news publisher needs, including an editorial policy, a correction policy and grievance officer details, so readers know how the publication works.
